In clinching the much-coveted Sportsman of the Year title, this three-time SEA Games gold medalist has given his sport a big boost. Known for his slick movements combined with technical strength, he has been a model of consistency and determination.

Following his combined Taiji gold at the Asian Wushu Championships in Myanmar in 2004, he shone at last year's SEA Games in the Philippines where he clinched the taijiquan and taijijian combined title.

But this dedicated athlete believes he has yet to realize his fullest potential. Looking ahead, he hopes to shine at this year's Asian Games in Doha where he will meet some of the world's best Wushu exponents.
