After a magnificent season of achievement, most athletes would have been content to continue at a lesser intensity, not Joscelin Yeo Wei Ling however.

Fresh form success, Joscelin continued to deliver a creditable fourth placing at the Commonwealth Games in Victoria and then a bronze medal at the Hiroshima Asian Games. In the process, she rewrote her national open 100m butterfly record, twice in the heats and during the finals, these being one of the numerous records that she has broken within the year.

She chose to advance her training in Australia for which she became the first recipient of a 100% grant in scholarship under SSC's Talent Assistance Program.

She has come a long way and has many more lengths to go.
